Since my first performance car, purchased in 1967, Chevrolet Camaro 327 cu.inches, modified 300hp... I have always owned a performance car as a non "everyday driver". The more serious I became about detailing and modifying these cars, the less they got driven. Since my 1968 Chevelle SS396, which i heavily modified, rebuilt the motor, and raced B modified production with for a couple of years...a 12.4 second street car..., I have owned nothing but Trans Am's since 1969 until 2005 when I purchased my GTO (see below). My cars don't get driven in the rain and are pampered like a baby. My newest one has to be the finest engineered, most performance oriented car, I ever dreamed of owning
I can honestly say, nearing retirement from the Govt., I see no future plans in buying another performance car,( but...then again...LOL..you never know) this one is a keeper for sure....it's just awesome.

Roofs off!
Well, began the year 2009 with installing a new Corsa Extreme exhaust system. Changed the fill plate to just the Waterfall emblem instead of the exhaust fill plate that was black with emblem on it..(it was too big to fit in between the new larger than stock exhaust tips).
Cut and paste the following you tube sound video's into your address bar:

Here are some sound video's made from inside the vehicle; the first one is cruising to show how comfortable the sound is. The second one is under heavy acceleration.

No big deal, but I also added a nice little touch to the headlights. The decal is GM endorsed and gives an "etched" appearance.
To keep the theme of "total black out"...I now have installed side marker black outs.
Next, I special ordered and install APsis side vent frames with screens. To me, the front fender vent openings looked "unfinished" from the factory.
And I'm loving it more all the time. its now July 11th, and I just hit 4,000 miles. Never been in the rain or off the pavement.
And...for Christmas of 2009, my wife surprised me with the addition of the GM clear roof for the Corvette! I love it!!!!!! The stock roof now resides in a cover in the basement.
From the outside of the car, it looks like the stock black roof, pretty cool!
